Meeting Deadlines
I am both good at meeting deadlines and bad at meeting deadlines. It just depends... Professional Deadlines If someone else is relying on me, if someone else has given me a specific date to have a piece of writing completed, then, no question, they will get it when they need it. Whether it's a blog post I've written for someone or edits for a publisher, I won't delay. I will get that work done. Self-Imposed Goals If, however, I've given myself a deadline and nothing is hanging on it, getting completed by that date, then I suddenly become an expert procrastinator . I think the thing that drives me is consequences. I never want to let someone else down, but apparently, I have no problem with letting myself down. Trying to Improve It's a really hard thing to resolve. At least it is for me. To get better at something like driving myself forward without repercussions or rewards.
